Do you Really Like your Job? – 5 Aug 10

It is as always nice to be at the Ashram. I was sitting outside today and just watched how the children played and how the boys who work here cleaned up after the children’s food. It was two or three of them and they made jokes with each other and were laughing while working. They are having fun during work and this is what I thought about for a while.

Why do so many people complain that they do not like their work? It is really very common that someone comes to me for a healing session or even if we meet someone in another way that they tell me they do not like at all what they do. They do not enjoy going to work, they do not enjoy the atmosphere there and, above all, they do not enjoy the work that they have to do. Some cope with it, others have a bigger problem and try to find another work.

There are people who are policemen but do not want to cope with aggression. There are people who sell meat and want to live vegetarian. There are people who have to travel a lot but would prefer to stay at home and others who would like to travel but feel like in prison in their small office. Just recently I met someone who works with numbers and data at the stock market but all she actually wants to do is dance and teach dancing.

I just wonder why we cannot find a system in which everybody finds a job that they really enjoy? Of course people say ‘You need to survive and for that you need to work!’ but why can we not all earn money from something that we enjoy?

I was determined from a very young age never to do work I didn’t love. Life is too short for that kind of misery. The problem is, people are afraid they won’t survive, so they grab at straws. But if you hold out, things will work out just fine.

Swami ji thank you for your thoughts it touches me to tiers. After I left that day the words Yashendu said to me ” I would never do something I don’t like ” are following me. I am still so touched from this meeting that I do not know where to go with my emotions … 🙂
I think the answerer why we are doing what we are doing if we really do not like it at all, is a kind of misunderstanding of your own potential and lake of trust in your own self and in life. The result is the weakness to go for that what you really like and enjoy and what fills you up with love and happiness. The feeling you have is you stand still and at this state nothing is happening. There is where you are cutting yourself from the energy stream of love. This is affecting not only you but all around you…. everyone and everything … just imagine what kind of energy you spreading around and as a result the corresponding energy you are call in to your life with this ??? When I use here you it is general spoken but I mean in first place me.
I did tied to take it as a yoga or spiritual practise but this is really tricky…. I did learnt allot form it about myself …. and I guess I still have to learn till the day I finely will leave and do what I love to do. Then I know I did understand my lesson at this one: “I would never do something I don’t like ”

Would love to thank you again and again from the bottom of my heart that you made the time and gave me the space to meet with you all.
Warm hug and Love to all … and special to the kids :)))

My dear Little Master, Accepting the present is also a form of dedication and it will lead you to love it.So, don’t give up and be strong. True prayers are always listened and blessed, One very fine day early morning you will get your calls answered from there you can walk with your life for what you have to become (Desired Destination)… My prayers are always with you…

I think the main question is: do you really enjoy your life? We need to understand that time passes away and the opportunities may no longer be used. We are on Earth for a purpose, with a mission. We must seek our happiness, but we do not live alone. There are people who are on our side and who need our help. A change of feelings, thoughts and actions is necessary for us to really live in a fairer world. Let us use our knowledge so we can generate peace to all. If you’re not happy with your choices, stop and think. Change your life for better, renew yourself, be happy, make someone also happy. Right now there’s someone needing you. Life is much more than you think. And you are a important part of it all.

Thanks for the tag…I believe that we can earn money and do what we enjoy…it takes a leap of Faith and tapping into that part of self to see what you truly love to do and what gives the most energy. Once we do that then it is just putting one foot infront of the other…Ramona and the children look so beautiful…Sending love to everyone…♥

Love and Light and thank you for the post. I totally agree. I can speak from my own experience WHY we do what we do and actually not love what we do. Because we stick to the rules of a society we are trying to FIT IN.Human has set up laws & restrictions, not God. If we don’t fit in, we loose…but this is our OWN perspective because its based on FEAR which paralysis our inner child. Even one is extremely good in meditation and aligning the body mind and soul, the next step is to “integrate” the wisdom an LIVE the inner truth. We need to be aware with whom we are connected and if they reflect our inner truth.Once we stand up and LIVE our inner truth we stick out as an example because we are shining. HOW? Living the inner truth is shining from inside out, we become balanced, we represent Divine Love.
As said, I speak out of my own experience and I live my inner truth since a number of years.I not say it is easy, contrary(!) because once the soul has stepped out to do so,a lot of stuff comes up to be cleared and to be let go. I lived like an outsider because I was SO DIFFERENT from the others (who is she…wired person ;-). But this is the REAL HEALING of the soul. And with the time & learning process the soul starts to realize how the law of attraction works and becomes trustful, more and more, day by day and we actually become the one who we are in REAL, from inside out.
And when we start to do what we want to do and involve our heart, it becomes a powerful healing energy, for ourselves & others. Because this energy is shining from inside out and assisting others to start healing because we are an example. We shine out happiness and gratitude & the love for ourselves because we do what we LOVE to do and that involves our heart. Our inner child is happy. So its important to first love ourselves before anything else. Love is a powerful energy and can be multiplied within our body also to our organs to heal. And when our organs are healthy, we are balanced.
Thank you again for your post, giving me a possibility to speak MY TRUTH. We all learning from each other, we are all connected. Love and Light, ELKE

I have seen a lot of classism (in every country I’ve ever been to) tied to the type of work that someone does. I have a degree that could find me a good job. I’m well educated and have always worked very hard in school. I’ve performed well and often exceptionally academically speaking. My parents are very wealthy. But I love to farm! The hardest work I have ever done has been with my hands. And I cannot respect the lack of respect I see for the people that work with their bodies. It is terribly sad and terribly frustrating to me. And I do not understand it. Those who have the opportunity to become educated are very lucky and I hope they cherish this privilege from deep in their hearts. I have also seen many people who do not like working with their minds and who love working with their hands unable to do this kind of work because of all the pressure from their families to keep the family name clean. This also makes me very sad and I do not understand it. For anyone reading this who works with their hands, I have a deep respect for you and I would like to say thank you to you for all that you give.
