Yesterday I told that people consult astrological birth charts to see whether a couple fits together or not. The Vedic Astrology is also called Jyotish and for many people it plays a big role. Whenever there is a bigger event, they see in the chart of that day, if the stars are right for example for a new beginning or for a big project. And according to that they also say their prayers. When a child is born, they immediately make the birth chart, the child's horoscope.
Now we have heard of something new which, in my opinion, is completely crazy. A child’s birth is of course a great event and the whole family will then wish that the newborn child has a good star constellation. So they calculate the approximate date when the child will be born, then check the charts for a few days before and search for the best day. After that they look at the best time and then they go to the doctor and tell him that they want their baby to be born in that time. By caesarian birth. And the doctors agree!
For many this makes sense and so they play God and decide upon the day and time of birth. It is hard to believe but they really think that this will change the child’s life! I believe it is completely going against nature. It is great that doctors nowadays have the possibility to save mother and child by caesarian birth if it is necessary and if there is the danger that one of them could die. However it is not at all the purpose of modern medicine to get a child out of the protection of the mother’s belly two weeks early! And it will be early because they don’t want to run the risk that the baby could be born naturally at a ‘bad time’.
I might offend some Indian people with my open words but I want to be honest: this is not how nature and God wants us to be! A child could take serious damage from this, then it definitely changed its life! Let nature do its work and only use medicine to help!
My young friend Carolin had birthday today and we celebrated at the Ashram with the lunch that her family sponsored for her birthday.

I COMPLETELY agree with this…Only God choses the day and time we’re born…it’s our destiny to come here when we do…
Oh my goodness, this is so sad and I didn’t realise this went on. To go against nature is dangerous in so many ways. C/sections should be reserved for those in need birth complications for the baby and mother.
oh no no no.. terrible to hear..:( agee with u davina..this goes against nature..:( the baby also has his own feeling of when he wishes to enter this world..there should be limits to what we do to interfere i think..happy samhain/halloween..by the way..this is a great time to meditate on loved ones who have passed..light them a candle and send some love..:)
I’m not sure whether to completely dismiss horoscopes as sometimes the seem so true. However, I believe if it is going to tell about your life, this is only going to work if it is a natural birth. Just like you can’t plan who you will fall in love with!
