Trying to Get Pregnant? No Stress, just Relax! – 23 Dec 10

Stress

I yesterday wrote about the big problem that women at the age of 35 or 40 have who want to have a baby: pressure and stress.

I actually have met many couples who wish for a baby and have a lot of stress because of this wish. Both, men and women, suffer under this pressure when they want to have a baby but it somehow doesn’t work. They try, they calculate and test when is the ovulation period and they try every trick that they hear about. Nothing works.

They test him and her if one of them is infertile. Often however there is no result. Everything seems to be fine but just she does not get pregnant. They even try with the help of IVF, in vitro fertilization, but the chances that this works, are relatively low, too. I know many people who have tried several times to help nature in this way and it never worked.

I know a couple however who, after eight years of marriage, still were childless. They then had many IVFs but nothing worked. Finally, they simply gave up. She was getting close to 40 and they were just tired of trying. They left the thought and went on with their lives. After 12 years of marriage, their baby son was then lying in his cradle, his proud and happy parents at his sides. As soon as they relaxed, they had not any problem to conceive.

What I want to say is that often the biggest problem is your inner situation! You need to find a way to relax. In pressure and stress, nothing is good and nothing works. You need to have trust in that ultimate power that everything will go the way it should. When you don’t have a child but a lot of stress, it is more difficult. You need to relax.

I know a couple who finally relaxed, and began praying for wholeness instead of a child. 2 years later, they had twins!

The thing is that when you stop resisting what is, the world opens up to you. People become friendly. Your circumstances become friendly. You are suddenly, and seemingly miraculously, finding opportunity and satisfaction everywhere.

Chris,And it is not that your luck has changed. You are moving with what is there and you are noticing what was already there. Before you were distracted.

Stress has extraordinary consequences for the body. It wears it out and makes it weak. It disrupts the natural functions of your physical system.

Wow, our bodies are intelligent. Can you imagine the benefits of infertility when stressed? Rejecting a certain set of DNA because female choice was ignored in copulation or responding to certain environmental stresses like a poor food source. Mothers might not live to reproduce if they are already stressed for food and become pregnant. Yet another fascinating evolutionary twist.

I too have heard of many instances where this is the case. The couple gets so stressed about planning that their bodies are not calm and balanced enough to actually have a baby. Having a child is such a beautiful and natural thing, however, it is so understandable that people want children so bad and I do feel sympathy for them.
