Some days ago Yashendu and Ramona baked a really delicious pumpkin pie and since then I am asking Ramona daily to write down that recipe so that more people can enjoy this great dessert. Of course it is a recipe for cake without eggs. As always in baking, some ingredients were actually used a bit more and others a bit less but here are the approximate values and you can also add or reduce ingredients like sugar or raisins according to taste.

  1. Thank you Swami ji, Ramona and Yashendu for such a delicious recipe. I tried many times to bake a cake without egg as I do not eat egg myself but it was never good. I tried your recipe and it worked out very fine! “I’m loving it”! Please do write more vegetarian egg-free recipes, I love cooking and baking.

  2. To make this dish vegan, substitute the ghee with a high quality peanut or grape seed oil. I prefer using a little bit less oil than ghee called for. If you are using a vegan butter substitute make sure you use more than 100 grams. There are roughly 13 grams in 1 table spoon of butter.
