After spending many days looking back on the old year, I would like to spend some time looking forward to the coming year – of which the first two weeks already passed now!
January
We have spent the beginning of this month with preparations for Apra’s birthday party. Yashendu was travelling in Kerala and while we organized from here, he did his part from the other side of our country as well. After he, our friend Sylvia and also Apra’s German grandfather had arrived here, we were ready for more guests and the great party!
In the end we practically celebrated her birthday on four days in a row, starting with the 9th January and ending with the 12th, when we finally had time to open presents!
The end of this month will be a bit calmer with some quality time with Apra’s grandfather, a trip to the Delhi Zoo and just some quiet time at the Ashram.
February
In February, people will start filling our Ashram again! Thomas, Iris, some more old friends and many new ones will be here to enjoy springtime in India! We will not only have musical days, as our friends will definitely fill the Ashram with music, but also start our Ayurveda Yoga Holiday again. Yoga, Ayurvedic massages and delicious healthy food will be part of the daily routine for our guests!
In this month it will be Purnendu who will be travelling for a while across our beautiful country, showing travelers different parts of India.
March
In March, too, our Ashram will be filled until the last corner with happy people eager to learn something about Ayurveda! We have a group of natural hairdressers coming from Germany who will learn everything related to head and hair what Ayurveda and Yoga have to offer!
Of course March is the month of Holi as well and after this group will have departed, a special offer for one week will start: our Yoga and Holi week! Ramona’s birthday happens to be just two days after our colourful Holi celebration and we will have a flower Holi party for her! You can join if you have time and are ready for the fun!
April
In April we will have another event for the first time: a mother wrote to us that her two teenage children would like to volunteer at our school. We normally never have volunteers at the school, as it is difficult with language, curriculum and some other reasons – but we want to give these two young people the chance to see something different, to have a glimpse into our school and get to know our children, so we will welcome them here for three weeks!
At the end of the month, Yashendu will fly to Germany.
These are the most predictable months of the year, as they are closest to today’s date. We do have some plans for the rest of the year however and I will let you read about them tomorrow!
