Of course I replied Ramona’s email in 2007 and told her it would be a good idea to meet and talk about the details of working together. At the end of March I returned to Germany. While I was in Wiesbaden, I got a phone call from Ramona and we fixed a date for a meeting in Cologne, where I was planning on being for longer time.
On 2nd April 2007 – a day which we still celebrate as our anniversary – Ramona came to Cologne. When she arrived, I was cooking. When we had dinner, I asked ‘Do you like Indian food?’ and as a perfectly polite German girl she answered ‘Yes’ – although she had never had Indian food before! ?
In the months that followed on this dinner, we met again and then finally, on 1st July 2007, Ramona joined me on my travels. We travelled and worked together. We laughed and loved.
And with these words, I would like to close a chapter here. Many things happened until the end of 2007 and then again, not so much. In 2008, we then started writing this daily blog and later, this autobiographical category, continuing it every Sunday, writing from the day I left the cave until the day I met my wife.
Now I will give this category a break. Whenever I feel like, I will share a blog in this category but it will be without following a certain time frame. So don’t worry – you will still get to know more bits and details of my life!
