Yesterday I wrote about guilt and of course, like other decisions, this feeling is also your decision. You want to live in guilt. If you do not make this decision you can come out of it. You can just leave it and decide not to be in guilt. But being in this feeling is easier than making the decision of not being in guilt. So people often take the easy way.
Your decision of not feeling guilty also shows your forgiveness. When you are feeling guilty it means you cannot forgive yourself. In this way it is good to accept your mistake, to say sorry and to leave the guilt.
Unfortunately because of ego we don’t do that but rather create guilt. We believe it is more uncomfortable to say sorry although we know it is wrong. What you don’t realize in this situation is that you start feeling guilty and this guilt grows and grows and you water it. Instead please make your heart big, learn forgiveness for yourself and others and be in love, not in guilt.

Great!! now I can always remember, when I feel something like guilty Many thanks!!
What if one feels guilty for a task one has not completed. Even with apologizes and forgiveness, the situation remains unremedied. What if that person is too overwhelmed to fix the mess she created? What does one do about that kind of guilt?
try to let go. Guilt is an excuse to not do anything.
“guilt is an excuse to not do anything” I like that thought a lot
English is not my first language, so maybe wrong said. Hope you got my point. I dont know how to say it differently.
Thank you….I did understand♥
you’re welcome, take care and good luck :-))
It´s OK. Ego is tricky and bad friend. Best wishes forever, pal.
Such a blessing to see these young ones cared for.
You should forgive yourself. So important. Many people do not know how to forgive anyone.
I think that guilt is such a powerful emotion that it can take time to process it and let it go. Like sadness and depression, it can take time to experience these deeper emotions to their fullest in order to understand them and work through them. I think with guilt there is often a lot of confusion and questioning– why did I act that way? Could I have done any different? Was anyone else to blame? Can I move on from this? It takes a while to answer and process these questions… and only when that experience is complete can someone really choose to let the guilt go and forgive him/herself.
Being in guilt is something that I think I find myself plagued by so often, and while I tell myself that it’s no good being in guilt I still find that I am stuck in this guilt no matter what the situation is, I think the main reason is that I tell myself it will never happen again, but there I go again and I make the same mistake and that’s when the guilt tends to set in…how to learn from this…
