Today we arrived in Austria, in the beautiful town Golling which is surrounded by mountains. Soon after arriving here, I had an interview with a newspaper journalist. She asked this question: How is your healing work accepted here? What do people think about it? I told her how happy I am that people accept it because they see the result, they realize that it helps. And of course, the fact that I work together with medical doctors makes it easier to accept it.

In the following she asked about my work with children in India and with young people here. So I told her that here people often have a big problem finding a real friend to share their feelings with, to share their problems with. I have written about this in my diary before: here everything is about owning and having, not about giving and sharing. So if there is a problem that seems too big, many people turn to drugs or alcohol because they cannot find a real friend with whom they can share. If teenagers already have difficulties communicating what they feel, it is not good. I want to help them by making a place where they can share whatever they have.

Today I also received an e-mail in which a woman told a very sad story. Her neighbour had been known as a nice man and father but lately he drank more and more alcohol and thus completely changed in behaviour. Last week he was found dead in his apartment. He had killed his nine-year-old son and afterwards committed suicide. The woman who had sent me the mail said that because of his problems with alcohol he did not have anyone to talk to. His only friends were in alcohol, too, and not really the people to give advice or to help someone with a problem. And without sharing, a big pressure is created. I do not know much about this man, not more than what I wrote but I know that people need sharing, a real friend, who is there, love. I pray for these souls to get peace.

That is very sad to hear. It is hard sometimes to listen and not feel overwhelmed. it is hard to get people to communicate their sadness in the first place, but then for many it is hard to listen and I don’t know why.Do people even share their happiness most of the time? I wonder if there is much that gets communicated at all.

I often try to imagine and bring myself to a point where I can see what someone would have to be thinking to come to a point like this. This is a hard one. Feeling like there is no support system and that there would be none for your child could. I’m not sure with this.

I hope that children are able to find an outlet that they need. That is why I am studying to go into childrens work. Happier children – better adults – better world.

I totally agree that sharing your emotions with someone is very releasing and healing. It harms your body to harbor negative emotions and not process or deal with them. And when you share your feelings with someone, you might find out that you are not the only one who feels this way! You are not alone, and there are others out there that need support– you can support each other.
